What I’m Loving Now

Processed with VSCO with m5 preset

A few blog posts ago, I mentioned that I’m getting into facial oils and serums after discovering how amazing the Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate is. This week I picked up another serum while perusing the Target beauty section. The Fig + Yarrow Apothecary products caught my eye with their irresistible minimalist packaging, and who isn’t a sucker for nice packaging? Although there were quite a few products that tempted me (in particular their clay mask), I settled for the Rosehip Argan Oil Facial Serum. It’s rare that a skincare product I buy without any research works out, but I’m happy to say that this did!

This serum is a dream to use! It’s on the thicker, oilier side of the serum spectrum so I only use it at night in lieu of a moisturizer. It promises to nourish dry skin and diminish the appearance of fine lines. Rosehip oil is also known to reduce scars and pigmentation, a big skin problem for me. Now, I can’t attest to its wrinkle-diminishing power since I don’t have issues in that department yet, but I can attest to its moisturizing benefits. Since adding the serum to my nightly beauty routine, I’ve noticed that my skin looks noticeably brighter and smoother. Though I’m loving it at the moment, I don’t think it surpasses the Kiehl’s serum, a product that remains firmly in my “holy grail” lineup. That being said, I’ll continue using it and report back on its pigmentation reducing benefits.

Have you tried the Fig + Yarrow serum and did you like it as much as I did? What are your favorite serums or oils? As always, I’m dying to find new skincare bits!
